Welcome to the Rhythm Weekend!

The much loved and respected Coventry Jazz festival has extended its remit to incorporate and encompass a more varied scope of musical styles.

The dynamic festival will now be known as the Coventry Rhythm Weekend and will still be held over the Spring Bank Holiday on the 27th – 30th May.

The exciting new festival will feature a huge variety of world music including: jazz, soul, blues, funk, Latin, Asian and other genres in addition to singer songwriters. Venues across the city will be involved with key gigs taking place at The Belgrade, St Mary’s Hall, Taylor Johns House, The Biggin Hall and other city centre locations. As has been the pedigree of Coventry Jazz Festival, Coventry Rhythm Weekend will continue to bring established and rising music stars to the city.

The four day event will welcome artists from across the globe including, world class guitarist John Etheridge, sultry signer songwriter Gwyneth Herbert, Blues legend Louisiana Red, Malian sensation Bassekou Kouyate, Pauline Black, and homegrown favourite Si Hayden to name but a few.

The weekend will incorporate both free and paid for gigs throughout the city, to book tickets please call the Belgrade Box Office on: 024 7655 3055 or visit www.belgrade.co.uk
